The Bournemouth area offers a superb range of holiday activities to suit all tastes. It boasts seven miles of safe, sandy bathing beaches stretching from Hengistbury Head to the world renowned Sandbanks Peninsula at the entrance to Poole Harbour.

There are also many other activities to be enjoyed in and around the Bournemouth and Christchurch area. For the energetic there are numerous golf courses including Britains premier public golf facility the open golf centre only five minutes drive away. Part of the 18 hole championship distance course runs adjacent to our riverbank. Please click HERE for a link to their web-site. We also have fishing at both Parks, tennis courts, riding stables, ten pin bowling alleys, boat hire, dry slope skiing, plus much more, all within ten minutes drive. There is also the Littledown Centre, one of the best Leisure Centres on the South Coast only five minutes away.

For the less energetic a gentle stroll through one of Bournemouth’s stunning gardens will confirm why Bournemouth won the highest possible accolade of World Floral Champion in 1996. The area also offers a wealth of first class restaurants and pubs. The Ilford Bridge Tavern is a short pleasant riverside walk from both the Parks and has a good Family Restaurant. There are also numerous interesting places to visit such as the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Nelson’s Flagship HMS Victory and the Mary Rose at Portsmouth. Salisbury Cathedral and Corfe Castle are also well worth a visit while kids will be kept more than happy at Paulton’s Park or Monkey World!

Meadowbank Holidays is also close to some of the most beautiful scenery in England. To the East, the famous New Forest is only a 15 minute drive away, a beautiful area of woodland and heathland where wild forest ponies and deer roam free. Small villages such as Brockenhurst and Burley are homes to pretty village pubs and quaint tea rooms and make ideal starting points for walking, riding and mountain biking in the forest.

To the West, the Dorset heritage coast stretches from Poole Harbour into Devon and boasts some of the most scenic coastline in the British Isles.
