The Bournemouth area offers a superb range of holiday activities
to suit all tastes. It boasts seven miles of safe, sandy bathing
beaches stretching from Hengistbury Head to the world renowned Sandbanks
Peninsula at the entrance to Poole Harbour.
There are also many other activities to be enjoyed
in and around the Bournemouth and Christchurch area. For the energetic
there are numerous golf courses including Britains premier public
golf facility the open golf centre only five minutes drive away.

tennis courts, riding stables, ten pin bowling alleys, boat hire,
dry slope skiing, plus much more, all within ten minutes drive.
There is also the Littledown Centre, one of the best Leisure Centres
on the South Coast only five minutes away.
For the less energetic a gentle stroll through
one of Bournemouths stunning gardens will confirm why Bournemouth
won the highest possible accolade of World Floral Champion in 1996.
The area also offers a wealth of first class restaurants and pubs.
The Ilford Bridge Tavern is a short pleasant riverside walk from
both the Parks and has a good Family Restaurant. There are also
numerous interesting places to visit such as the National Motor
Museum at Beaulieu, Nelsons Flagship HMS Victory and the Mary
Rose at Portsmouth. Salisbury Cathedral and Corfe Castle are also
well worth a visit while kids will be kept more than happy at Paultons
Park or Monkey World!
Meadowbank Holidays is also close to some of
the most beautiful scenery in England. To the East, the famous New
Forest is only a 15 minute drive away, a beautiful area of woodland
and heathland where wild forest ponies and deer roam free. Small
villages such as Brockenhurst and Burley are homes to pretty village
pubs and quaint tea rooms and make ideal starting points for walking,
riding and mountain biking in the forest.
To the West, the Dorset heritage coast stretches
from Poole Harbour into Devon and boasts some of the most scenic
coastline in the British Isles.
