Free Coarse and Barbel fishing with Meadowbank Holidays
Grove Farm Meadow is a wonderful location for all coarse fishing however it is particularly well known for the quality of Barbel fishing on offer. The park is located on the Christchurch bank of the famous Dorset Stour River. Fish caught on our stretch include specimen Barbel up to 16 lb, good size Chub up to 7lb, Bream, large Pike and Perch, and superb condition Roach up to 2lb. The occasional Carp also put in an appearance on this lovely stretch. Please note, Closed season on UK rivers is 15th March to 15th June.
We offer FREE permits to all our customers for the private holiday park boundary stretch. Permits for the public section of our beat are charged at £5 per day . Every person choosing to fish must first collect a permit from reception. A rod licence where age applicable will be required. Day permits for beats 1 – 3 of the Throop fishery encompassing both banks are available from local tackle shops.
We are also conveniently located for sea and estuary fishing in Christchurch harbour.
